About

A quiet place to read

This site exists to point to Jesus Christ - to make it easy to read, study and reflect on His life, His love and the great story of redemption, on any device, without ads, accounts or tracking.

Your reading position, text size and theme are kept only in your own browser.

The texts

The Great Controversy (Between Christ and Satan) by Ellen G. White, 1911 edition (Review & Herald). The text comes from Project Gutenberg eBook #25833, prepared by Project Gutenberg's volunteers. It is in the public domain. Illustrations and the indexes from the printed book are not included; the book's own references appear at the end of each chapter and open in place when you tap a note number.

The Desire of Ages is being prepared and will be added soon.

Scripture quotations, and the verses that open when you tap a reference, are from the King James Version (Project Gutenberg eBook #10). Where the book quotes another reading (the Revised Version, or a margin reading), the King James wording is shown and labelled.

Walk with Jesus follows the life of Christ as a harmony of the four Gospels, with the order and dates of The Desire of Ages (Jesus' baptism in AD 27, the cross in AD 31). The short descriptions are our own; the Gospel text is the King James Version. The map is drawn from Natural Earth data (public domain); where a place is uncertain, its page says so.
